The District Administrator or his/her designee has the primary responsibility for making the decision to cancel, delay, or release school early. The District Administrator will consult multiple weather forecasts, the Director of Transportation; and other Monroe County School Districts to determine if conditions require closing or delaying school. The District understands that changing the school schedule creates challenges for families. Therefore, announcements will be made with ample time for families to coordinate care for young students.
