Hello, I’m Amanda Fonk, and I’m so glad to be teaching science at Cashton Middle School. I grew up in Union Grove, WI, on the opposite side of the state. After graduating from Union Grove High School, I continued my education at UW–La Crosse. My husband and I fell in love with the Driftless Area and decided to plant our roots here.
My love for science and the natural world started when I was young and has grown into a passion I now share as a science teacher. Since 2018, I’ve had the joy of helping students build confidence as they explore new ideas and discover their own love of learning. In my classroom, I strive to make every lesson fun, engaging, and meaningful.
When I’m not in the classroom, I spend much of my free time outdoors with my husband. Together, we enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, and relaxing at the lake. We especially love hunting with and training our dogs, who are truly our pride and joy
I feel fortunate to be part of such a supportive community here in Cashton. I’m excited for the year ahead, and I hope your school year is filled with the wonders of science, the joy of learning, and opportunities for growth!
