SCHOOL DISTRICT ACCOUNTABILITY REPORT

As part of the state accountability system, the Department of Instruction (DPI) has produced report cards for every school district in Wisconsin.  These report cards provide data on multiple indicators for four priority areas:  Student Achievement, Student Growth, Closing Gaps, and Postsecondary Readiness.  Cashton’s accountability reports are available via the following links:

PUPIL NON DISCRIMINATION SELF-EVALUATION

The School District of Cashton is committed to equal educational opportunity for all students in the District.  It is the policy of the Cashton School District, pursuant to State law and regulations, that no person, on the basis of sex, race, national origin, religion, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation, homeless status, or physical, mental, emotional, or learning disability, may be denied admission to any school in this district or be denied participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be discriminated against in any curricular, extracurricular, pupil services, recreational, food service program, or other program. 

The school district is in the process of completing its five-year pupil nondiscrimination self-evaluation.  The school district will focus on three elements for the self-evaluation: 

  • The methods, practices, curriculum and materials used in counseling. 
  • The trends and patterns in awarding scholarships and other form of recognition and achievement provided or administers by the district.
  • Participation trends and patters and school district support of athletic and extracurricular activities.

The Cashton School District offers the following educational options for resident school aged children:

ADOPTION OF ACADEMIC STANDARDS

Cashton School District shall use the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards for Social Studies, Music, Art, Physical Education, Health Education, Foreign Language, and Technology Education (www.dpi.wi.gov/standards).  The guiding standards for English/Language Arts (including Disciplinary Literacy) and Mathematics are the Common Core State Standards (http://dpi.wi.gov/common-core).  The guiding standards for Science are the Next Generation Science Standards (http://www.nextgenscience.org/next-generation-science-standards).  Information and Technology Education Standards are infused in all curricular areas.

The academic standards were adopted by the Board of Education on the 20th of July, 2016 and recorded in the board minutes of the July 20, 2016 meeting.
